Mechanical filtration is always used as an initial stage of the larger filtration process, particularly reverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration.
Mechanical filtration is always used as an initial stage of the larger filtration process, particularly reverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration.
About technology
Mechanical filters are sieve-like cylinders made of porous materials to effectively remove larger suspended solids from the water. Mechanical filters do not remove dissolved chemicals or small particles.
Depending on water pollution level and the main filtration method, different mechanical filter materials should be used, i. e. yarn, spun or foam.
Types of mechanical filters used in Bluefilter systems are active carbon, carbon block, Bluesoft+ and sediment PP yarn.
Advantages
Prepares water for finer filtration methods.
Mechanical filters effectively remove solid particles from the water, making it ready for other treatment methods, such as softening, reverse osmosis, Bluesoft+ or ultrafiltration.
Advanced damage protection.
As a pre-filter, mechanical filters fully protect advanced filtration methods form damage and premature wear-off.
